Recording runs and comparison

Updated just now · 9 views ·

Every time you record against a map, MapVS creates a numbered run (Run #1, #2, #3...). Runs are the primary evidence you use to prove that a change worked.

Why runs matter

A single recording is one data point. Five runs across different operators, different times of day, and different work volumes give you a distribution - the min/max/avg/median you need to talk credibly about improvement.

Compare runs

  1. Open the map.
  2. Switch to the Runs tab.
  3. Tick two or more runs.
  4. Click Compare. You get a side-by-side of per-stage cycle time and wait time, plus deltas.

Re-record just one step

You don't have to record the whole process to update one stage. In the run detail, tap any step and pick Re-record. The rest of the run stays intact.
