Short answer: you own everything you put into MapVS. Long answer:
Your maps, recordings, and analytics
Yours. You can export any of it as CSV, JSON, or PDF at any time. You can delete any of it at any time. If you cancel your account, you have 30 days to export before we hard-delete.
What MapVS does with your data
- Stores it in your chosen data region (default: Sydney, Australia).
- Encrypts it at rest and in transit.
- Serves it back to you and anyone you explicitly share with.
- Uses aggregated, anonymised metrics for industry benchmarks (opt out in Account Settings).
What MapVS does NOT do
- Sell your data to third parties.
- Use it to train AI models (yours or ours).
- Share it with the government except when legally compelled - in which case we notify you unless prohibited.
